Post Concrete Clean Up
Concrete and exposed aggregate is becoming more and more popular around new swimming pools, particularly fibreglass installations. Inevitably after the concrete is poured and especially if it has been honed there can be considerable mess and debris left in your pool.
It is is essential that this waste is cleaned up appropriately, you do not want to attempt to vacuum this into your underground pool plumbing, pump, filter, heater and any other equipment you have.
We use external pumping equipment to vacuum this out, so the debris and slurry doesn’t go anywhere near your pool equipment plumbing and filtration system. We will have your pool cleaned and ready to run back through the filter system in one or two visits.
-
One tip we recommend is cutting a piece of laminated cardboard or plastic to cover your skimmer before the concrete work, this will help limit the amount of concrete that falls into your skimmer during the work.
-
Always check with your concreter on when you can walk on the freshly poured concrete.
You will need to clean the pool after the concrete pour and if you are having it honed, you will need to clean up after the honing has been completed too, there is usually a window of 1-4 weeks in-between the two jobs.
-
Each pool varies depending on the conditions, factors like pool size, concreted area size and the level of honing undertaken on site but the job usually requires 2 or 3 visits before everything is back to normal.
-
Our concrete clean ups start at $600. This cost includes 2 visits and pH re-balancing.
If your concrete has been honed the process is considerably messier, please contact for a quote as costs will vary depending on site specifics.
