Post Concrete Clean Up
Concrete and exposed aggregate is becoming more and more popular around new swimming pools, particularly fibreglass installations. Inevitably after the concrete is poured and honed there can be considerable mess and debris left in your pool.
It is is essential that this waste is cleaned up appropriately, you do not want to try and vacuum this into your underground pool plumbing, pump, filter, heater and any other equipment you have.
We use external pumping equipment to vacuum this out as waste so the debris and slurry so it doesn’t go into your pool equipment plumbing and filtration system. We will have your pool clean and ready to run back through the filter system in one or two visits.
-
One tip I recommend is cutting a piece of laminated cardboard or plastic to cover your skimmer before the concrete work, this will help limit the amount of concrete that falls into your skimmer during the work.
-
Always check with your concreter on when you can walk on the freshly poured concrete.
You will need to clean the pool after the concrete pour and if you are having it honed, you will need to clean up after the honing has been completed too, there is usually a window of 1-4 weeks in-between the two jobs.
-
Usually requires 1 or 2 visits after concrete and at least one visit after honing, varies by job to job.
-
Our concrete clean ups start at $300. Larger or messier pools may require more visits.
We’ll have your pool water clean and clear again in no time
